Shrewsbury Police Investigate Bank, Identity Fraud
A 34-year-old woman from Worcester was arrested after police said she tried to use a false identity to get access to an account in TD Bank.
SHREWSBURY, MA — Shrewsbury police are investigating an identity and bank fraud incident that happened last week.
TD Bank on Boston Turnpike Road called police after a woman tried using a fake identity to access accounts, according to police. Officers determine that the woman was a 34-year-old from Worcester who also had a warrant for her arrest issued by the Auburn Police Department.
Police said the woman had other bank information from other people.

The Shrewsbury Police Department is currently attempting to make contact with the other identified victim’s. The investigation is currently ongoing, and will be led by Detective Sergeant Michael Cappucci, Detective Paul Brown and Officer Brandon Bourette.
The woman was charged with identity fraud, forgery of a check and obstruction of justice.
