Shrewsbury Senior Center Collects Over 500 Gifts For Seniors

Residents at the Shrewsbury Housing Authority will receive the gifts as well as Meals on Wheels clients.

SHREWSBURY, MA — The Shrewsbury Senior Center worked hard this holiday season to ensure the town's seniors felt the holiday spirit.

The center collected over 500 gifts for seniors and plans to give them out soon. Seniors in Shrewsbury Housing Authority will receive gifts from the center in blue tote bags donated from the community. The housing authority seniors account for 248 gifts.

The Senior Center is also giving Meals on Wheels customers in Shrewsbury gifts as well, which accounts for another 108 gifts, bringing the total to over 500 gifts.

Students also volunteered their time to make hand-written cards to go with each gift.
