Shrewsbury Teen Leading Crohn's Awareness 5K

For the second year in a row 14-year-old James Canzano is planning the "Kicking Butt for Crohn's 5K" at Dean Park.

According to the Community Advocate James' two sisters have both been diagnosed with Crohn's in the past few years and he wants to do everything he can to help it.

James tells the Advocate how difficult his sisters have it, in and out of the hospital, always being excused from class and having restrictive diets.

The race will take place at 9 a.m. on Aug. 24 at Dean Park. Registration is available online for $20 or on race day for $25.
