Shrewsbury Voters Head to the Polls
There is still time to vote in the presidential primary.
With the Republican candidates duking it out at the polls today, Shrewsbury residents voted in support of their favorite candidate.
At Precinct 8, which has a new polling location since the town census at , the turnout was a bit low.
"It has been pretty slow so far," said Pam Empie, warden of Precinct 8. "People are still coming in, but so far, we've only had about 200 voters." And that was as of 1:30 p.m.

Shrewsbury Residents Richard and Laurinda Curtis said they love the new precinct location. "The town garage on South Street was always cold," Richard Curtis said. "But this is a lot closer."
The Curtises said they came out to vote for Mitt Romney. "We've supported him since the beginning," Richard Curtis said. "And that's why we came out to vote."

Kenneth Swift, of Shrewsbury, said he couldn't support Mitt Romney in the primary. "I really like Newt Gingrich and I don't like what Romney did when he was governor," he said. "So I have to support Newt."
