Shrewsbury Woman, 12-Year-Old Daughter Found Dead In Home
"It was a very difficult scene, but we can't go beyond that at this point," District Attorney Joseph Early said.

SHREWSBURY, MA — A 49-year-old woman and her 12-year-old daughter were found dead in a Shrewsbury home Friday morning, according to Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early.
The woman’s husband is believed to have called 911 call from the home on Ladyslipper Drive shortly after 7:30 a.m., Early said at a news conference outside the Shrewsbury police station.
Officers found the woman, and she was rushed to the UMass Memorial Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, he said. Shortly after they found the woman, they found the daughter also dead inside the home, he said.

Early said both the woman's husband and son were home at the time of the deaths.
Shrewsbury Police Chief Kevin Anderson said they did not believe there was a danger to the public.
"It's hard on the community," Anderson said.
Anderson said officials had notified the Shrewsbury School Department so they could provide grief counseling at schools.
