SHS Crew Team Adds 2 Boats After Major Fundraiser
The boats will be dedicated at a ceremony this weekend.
SHREWSBURY, MA—Friends of the Shrewsbury Crew team kicked off a fundraiser called Fund the Fleet in late 2017. The goal? To raise enough money to buy two new boats for the boys' and girls' crew teams. They did it.
The construction of the two boats is complete. The team and school are celebrating with a dedication ceremony at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Donahue Rowing Center in Shrewsbury.
The ceremony honors the individuals for whom each boat is named. Members of the community are welcome and are encouraged to attend.
