Stolen Car Pulled From Bottom Of Shrewsbury Lake
Police received a call about a stolen car, as emergency crews responded to reports of a car crashing into a lake.
SHREWSBURY, MA — A car that was stolen from the parking lot of a Worcester Red Sox game was found Wednesday night at the bottom of Lake Quinsigamond.
Emergency crews responded to the lake late Wednesday night after receiving calls that a car had gone off the road and into a lake at the corner of Main St and North Quinsigamond Ave.
According to the police report, witnesses say they could see the taillights of the vehicle about 25 yards into the water as it slowly sank into the lake.

Worcester Fire department deployed a boat and two rescue divers who were able to locate the car 25 feet down on its roof, and said no one was in the car when they found it.
The vehicle was a 2014 Ford Edge, which was reported stolen earlier in the evening from Polar Park in Worcester.
