Students to be Honored at Gala
Four local students will receive awards from Shrewsbury Youth & Family Services.

(SYFS), the town of Shrewsbury’s only private, nonprofit community counseling and social services agency, is pleased to announce the 2012 winners of our Outstanding Youth of Shrewsbury Awards. These awards will be given to four outstanding Shrewsbury youths for their service and accomplishments at SYFS’ 8th Annual Gala and Awards Dinner.
From a very talented, diverse and deep pool of applicants, the 2012 Winners of SYFS’ Outstanding Youth of Shrewsbury Awards are as follows:

- Romaine Campbell, Grade 12,
- Kelsey Giordano, Grade 12, Shrewsbury High School
- Kevin Harrington, Grade 11,
- Hannah Levine, Grade 12, Shrewsbury High School
These four outstanding youths will be honored at SYFS’ 8th Annual Gala and Awards Dinner, to be held Saturday, Feb. 11 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. at St. John’s High School, 378 Main St., Shrewsbury.
These “Outstanding Youth of Shrewsbury Service Awards” are given to four local youths demonstrating outstanding community service. The youths who receive the awards have demonstrated remarkable resiliency in performing this community service were especially considered for these awards.

These Outstanding Youth of Shrewsbury Awards are sponsored by .
The gala is an evening to celebrate community spirit and a fundraiser to support critical SYFS programs for local children and families. Guests will enjoy a cocktail reception with live music and a silent auction, a gourmet dinner by Peppers Catering, awards presentations, and a live grand drawing—all beginning at 6 p.m.
Tickets are $85 (tax deductible) and can be purchased over the phone 508-845-6932 with a credit card, or at SYFS, 240 Maple Ave., Shrewsbury with cash, check, or credit card. Space is limited.
In addition, tickets for the grand drawing are available at the SYFS office. The grand prize is a gorgeous pair of diamond “inside out” hoop earrings valued at over $2,500. Tickets are $20 each.
