Super Megafest Comic-Con Coming to New England

Scan through the event listings, and visitors realize you will have to create a plan of action in taking in as much as you can at Super Megafest Comic-Con, a bigger-than-life mash-up of Sci-Fi, comic book artists, celebrity guests, movie buffs, wrestling and rock ‘n’ roll.

The New England Super Megafest Comic Con Spring 2015 takes place April 17-19 at the Royal Plaza Trade Center in Marlborough. It’s considered New England’s largest multimedia fanjets and ‘best comic con.”

Super fans can “dork out” with others, and there’s even an opportunity to dress up as your favorite superhero.

Here are a few of the many events and attractions lined up for Super Megafest: celebrity guest appearances by the “Chips” guys, Roddy Piper and John McDermott; multiple comic book guest artists including Cary Nord and Mark McKenna; a shop for collectors; wrestling superstars; a car show; a soap reunion, display of movie cars; dealer room; autographs; DVDs; CosCity and your own custom hero sketches.

There will be celebrity autograph signings and photo ops with guests such as Sylvester McCoy, Jonathan Frakes, Josh McDermitt, Roddy Piper, Bret Hart (Saturday only), Chris Jericho (Sunday only), Chris Sarandon, Erik Estrada and Larry Wilcox of CHiPs and many more! Scheduled celebrity Q & A sessions and photo ops will be held throughout the weekend.

Also, according to the event’s website, X-Men and other Marvel and DC writers and artists will give panel discussions and mingle with celebrities and costumed fans! Our fabulous comic artists include Bob Camp, creator of Ren and Stimpy, Ethan Van Sciver, Cary Nord, Joe St Pierre, Rudy Nebres, Mark Texiera and more.

Other attractions include a costume contest (including a children’s category), stunning Movie Cars, mischievous Pirates, personal 3D Scan-to-Figure souvenir and much more! After hours, enjoy a multitude of shadowcast movie performances and parties, including the CosCLUB Dance Party, ensuring the event has something for all ages.
