The Town Manager is seeking three (3) qualified individuals interested in serving on the Affordable Housing Board of Trustees. The Affordable Housing Board of Trustees, established under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 44, Section 55(c), consists of five (5) members. One (1) member shall be a designee from the Board of Selectmen, one member shall be the Town Manager or the Assistant Town Manager, and three (3) members shall be residents of the Town of Shrewsbury.

The purpose of the Affordable Housing Board of Trustees is to create and preserve affordable housing in the Town of Shrewsbury for the benefit of low and moderate income households and for the funding of community housing, as defined in and in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 44B of the Massachusetts General Laws.Â
The Affordable Housing Board of Trustees is a newly created Board within the Town of Shrewsbury, being recently adopted by the Town through Article 30 of the Annual Town Meeting on May 22, 2021.

Interested parties must be registered voters of the Town and are asked to submit a letter of interest and resume by mail to Kevin J. Mizikar, Town Manager, 100 Maple Avenue, Shrewsbury, MA 01545 or by email to jdobson@shrewsburyma.gov by no later than 4:30pm on July 20, 2021.
