Toy Drive Needs Toys for Local Families
The Gymnastics Learning Center is hoping more will donate to their annual toy drive.

One local business is concerned that they may not have enough toys for their annual toy drive that benefits (SYFS).
"We started the toy drive a little earlier," said Patty Quinn of the Gymnastics Learning Center. "We got quite a few donations in the last 24 hours, but it's not like it was in years past, but we're anticipating it picking up now that Black Friday is over."
With the Thanksgiving holiday a bit later this year, some may not be in the holiday spirit yet, Quinn added.

Donations to the toy drive, which also accepts gift card donations, hats, gloves and mittens for all ages as well as sports balls for older kids, can be dropped off at the , and the Gymnastics Learning Center.
"The toy drive is now in its seventh year, and the need is greater than ever," said LouAnn Geer, of the Gymnastics Learning Center. "As the recession continues, more children are in need of toys. Simultaneously, of course, people in a recession have less ability to donate. This is the heart-breaking dilemma, and our goal remains that every child receive at least one toy for the holidays."
