Two Local Dogs Deemed Nuisances by Selectmen
Animal Control has reportedly issued five citations to the dogs' owners.

Sadie and Pesty, two dogs owned by Janeen Demers of Westmont Road, have been deemed a nuisance by the Shrewsbury Board of Selectmen.
The Worcester Telegram and Gazette reports that during the hearing on Tuesday night several neighbors reported feeling threatened by the dogs.
Neighbors claimed that the dogs were often loose, chasing bicyclists and other dogs in the area.

"Selectmen imposed several recommendations from [Animal Control Officer Leona] Pease, including that the dogs be enrolled into a professional training program and that more secure fencing be installed. The dogs also are to be boarded in a secure facility until all of the stipulations are in place," the Telegram reports.
