VIDEO: Students Honor Catholic Schools Week

State Rep. Matt Beaton attended and was honored to return to help celebrate Catholic Schools Week.
"I attended all eight years of school here," he said. "And it was great to come back today to celebrate with the kids."
Beaton told students the common thread in the American Revolution was the Americans common theme of believing in God.

The students also sang, "God Bless America," along with a slide show of pictures the third grade students made to go along with lyrics.
Students could also participate in a raffle where they could be a teacher or principal for a day. The apprenticeship event will take place on Thursday and students were crossing their fingers in hopes of getting the ones they wanted.

The money raised, which totaled $600 will be donated to a soup kitchen at St. John's in Worcester.
"We are very proud of the students for donating their time," said St. Mary's School Principal Joan Barry. "They really enjoy helping out and being a teacher for a day."
