What's Open on Thanksgiving Day

On Thanksgiving, some businesses are open, while others will be closed:

Here's a list:

Restaurants/bars: Some are open—call ahead.

Convenience stores: many are open, but may have special hours.

Supermarkets: closed

Retail stores: closed, though Walmart will open at 10 p.m. for early Black Friday specials.

Liquor stores: closed due to Massachusetts "Blue Laws"

Government offices (including local): All are closed including schools, libraries, and the post office. No mail will be delivered. Only emergency services will be available.

Trash collection: delayed one day. Thursday's trash and recycling collection will be picked up on Friday and Friday's will be picked up on Saturday. is delayed by one day as well.
