2 South End Restaurants Close

Goodbye to taco Tuesday and brunch (out in public) in your PJs.

SOUTH END, MA — Two restaurants that have been a mainstay of the South End's Tremont Street closed after decades in business this weekend.

Tremont 647 (known for taco Tuesdays and Pajama Sunday brunch) and Sister Sorel, both owned by chef Andy Husbands closed Sunday.

"It's going to be extremely difficult to say goodbye to our friends, regulars (some who have been coming in for 15+ years), the South End community, and most importantly our staff. You all are the heart and soul of 647, and we couldn't have made it this far without you. Thank you, for everything," Husbands posted to social media Sunday evening.
