Alleged Beer Thieves Arrested at Darryl's Corner Bar

Two 20-year-olds caught leaving the restaurant with a case of beer, police say.

Two Boston men were arrested early Saturday morning after employees at a popular South End restaurant caught them making off with a case of beer, police reported.

Officers responded to around 1:49 a.m. on Saturday for reports of a larceny in progress. Upon their arrival, they spoke with Tom Dunne, 20, of Boston and another man who stated that they entered the establishment "with the intent of taking beer," police reported.

The pair, who are not old enough to legally consume alcohol, were reportedly caught by restaurant employees as they attempted to exit through the kitchen door while carrying a case of Amstel Light.

They were charged with larceny and unlawful possession of alcoholic beverages.
