Boston Police Investigating Shooting On Shawmut Ave In South End
The person who was shot suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to reports.

BOSTON, MA — Boston police were back in the South End Monday investigating a shooting in the South End a day after a police officer was shot in the leg.
Early Monday, Police were investigating the area of Shawmut Avenue. Police told reporters the person who was shot was described as having non-life threatening injuries.
According to city statistics, there have been 44 fewer non-fatal shootings than there were to this point in 2017 and arrests are down by 11 percent over last year.

The shooting comes as the Boston police department announced the creation of a new Bureau of Community Engagement and tapped a 22-year veteran of the force to lead the new bureau.
