City Census-Takers Come Knocking in South End

The annual resident survey starts today in Boston's South End and in Roxbury.

Boston, MA - South End and Roxbury residents could receive a knock on the door starting Tuesday -- an annual check-in by the City Election's Department.

Every year, the City of Boston is required under state law to take a count of all residents 17 or older, helping the city "protect your voting rights and to provide better municipal services," according to its website.

The City Election Department tweeted Tuesday it will start door knocking in the South End and Roxbury as it conducts the census survey Tuesday.
