Four Boston Police officers were briefly hospitalized after making a methamphetamine arrest early Thursday morning.

Four Boston Police officers were hospitalized Thursday after making a methamphetamine arrest.

The officers, stationed at the District D-4 Station in the South End, arrested a man on West Brookline Street early Thursday morning, and were exposed to chemicals used to make the drug, wcvb.com reports.

The suspect allegedly had the chemical in his car at the time of his arrest. The officers were taken to Boston Medical Center for precautionary treatment and have since been released.
