Fatal Stabbing In South End, Police Ask For Public's Help

SOUTH END, MA — A man was fatally stabbed near the corner of Mass Ave and Albany Street Wednesday night. Now, police are asking for the public's help in finding out just what happened.

Around 9:12 p.m. police were called to the South End for a report of someone stabbed. When they got there, the man was alive, and first responders took him to the hospital. He was later pronounced dead.

Police are encouraging anyone with information about the stabbing to contact the Boston Police Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470.

Over the weekend there was a sharp uptick in the number of reported stabbings across Boston. There have been more than 30 homicides so far this year. Last year around this time there were 37.
