Five Things: Katty Still Missing

Two-year-old Bichon Frise was last seen Thursday.

1. Sunny skies today with patchy fog in the morning, highs in the lower 80s, and wind gusts up to 20 mph.

2. Keep your eyes open for Katty, the two-year-old Bichon Frise last seen on Thursday near Blackstone Square. Katty is a recent adoptee and very shy, if you see her, don't chase her, call (312) 560-5672. Click here for more info on Katty.

3. A new food provider will be serving the 86 Boston Public Schools that do not have full-service kitchens. Whitsons Culinary Group, a family owned company, will begin serving BPS at the beginning of the upcoming school year.

"Whitsons has agreed to be an active partner in our work to ensure Boston’s children are eating well-rounded meals that give them the energy to actively participate in the classroom," Superintendent Carol Johnson said in a press release.

41 percent of products Whitsons uses are purchased either in Massachusetts or a neighboring state supporting local businesses, the release stated.

4. The Better Business Bureau is warning consumers about new email scam: Be on the lookout for an email claiming to be from someone you know who is stuck in another country. They are asking you to give them a loan to pay for their hotel bills and airfare home and request that you respond via email. This email scam will come from someone who you have corresponded with via email before, but their email address may be different.
