Five Things: No Improvements for Worcester Sq. Silver Line Stop
No enclosure will be installed at the inbound stop on Washington Street due to neighbors' concerns.

Today is Friday, October 14. Here are five things you need to know today.
1. More rain today, heavy during the afternoon, with possible thunderstorms as well. Highs in the upper 60s.
2. The MBTA will not be constructing a glass windscreen or enclosure at the inbound Silver Line stop on Washington Street at Worcester Square. MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo said in an email to Patch that the stop has never had a shelter, and won't as part of improvements, because neighbors "raised concerns" about a shelter's "compatibility with the architecture and historic significance of neighboring buildings." The concerns were raised when the Silver Line route was first constructed, he said.
