Five Things: Tax Free Holiday This Month
Governor Deval Patrick is expected to sign a bill designating August 13-14 as a sales tax holiday.

2. Mark your calendars - the Legislature has approved a bill authorizing a sales tax holiday the weekend of August 13-14. The holiday means a respite from the 6.25 percent sales tax
and is expected to save consumers an estimated $20.5 million over the two days.
3. Want free tuition to college? Yeah, we thought so. New England College of Business and Finance is offering up to $44,000 as part of their as part of its “I’m All Business” Campaign. Apply through the college's Facebook page through Aug. 12. Submissions will be posted online and voted on by the public. A panel of faculty members will select the winner from the five entries with the most votes this September.
