Man Wanted For South Boston Murder

Marquis Martin should be considered armed and dangerous, police say.

DORCHESTER, MA – Boston police are searching for a man suspected in a South Boston murder. Police have issued a felony warrant for 28-year-old Marquis Martin's arrest for the murder of David Cole on Oct. 29, according to the Boston Police Department. Martin is 5-foot-7 and weighs 170 pounds.

Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Around 7:50 p.m. on Oct. 29, police responded to a report of a person shot in the area of 7 Peninsula Pl. in Dorchester. Officers found a man, later identified as Cole, 30, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Anyone with information relative to the whereabouts of the suspect is strongly urged to call 911 immediately or contact Boston Police Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470.
