Notice Of Advance Processing Of Early Mail In Ballots In Town Of Stoneham
At that time the results from the advance processed ballots will be added to the election day results and posted in a public place.

NOTICE OF ADVANCED REMOVAL OF EARLY VOTED BALLOTS FROM ENVELOPES AND ADVANCED DEPOSITING OF EARLY VOTED BALLOTS

In accordance with the Secretary of State Regulations 47.12 and under the provisions of section 7(k) of Chapter 115 of the Acts of 2020, the Town of Stoneham will be opening and depositing early voted ballots received up until Thursday, August 27th on Friday, August 28th beginning at 9:00 am in the Town Hall Hearing Room, 35 Central Street.
We will continue with a second session of ballots received up until Friday, August 28th on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 9:00 AM at the Town Hall Hearing Room, 35 Central Street.

A third session will be held on Monday, August 31st beginning at 1:00 PM in the Town Hall Hearing Room, 35 Central Street for ballots received on Saturday, August 30th and Sunday, August 31st.
As the Town Offices remain closed to the public we respectfully ask that observers register by emailing townclerk@stoneham-ma.gov in advance of all processing of early voted ballots sessions.
In accordance with the Regulations 47.12 and the provisions of section 7(k) of Chapter 115 of the Acts of 2020, no results shall be determined or announced until after the time the polls close on September 1st. At that time the results from the advance processed ballots will be added to the election day results and posted in a public place.

Please Note: Advance Removal is the opening of the inner envelope and separating the ballot from the envelope prior to election day. Advance Depositing is the placing of the ballot which has already been advance removed into a tabulator prior to election day (without running results until the close of polls on Sept 1st).
