Police Arrest Man for Drug and Weapon Possession
Officers say suspect threatened their families.
A man found loitering near the Boston Medical Center faces multiple charges including possession of drug paraphernalia and a stolen weapon after a lengthy altercation with police during which he allegedly threatened their families.
According to a police report, Manuel Peters, of 444 Harrison Ave, was observed huddling with a female party around 5:35pm Sunday evening on the steps of the Boston Medical Center. When questioned regarding his activity, Peters responded, "all we're gonna do is smoke," and later produced a crack pipe with residue.
A pat search revealed a loaded black Airsoft BB gun with the $149.99 price tag still attached, police said. When questioned, Peters allegedly admitted to stealing the gun "to get nice." He later threatened police as they attempted to place him into a holding cell, saying "I'm goin' to inflict pain, misery, and destruction to you and your families," the police report states.
