Police: 'Hundreds of Used Needles' Found in Abandoned South End Building

Two men arrested after allegedly breaking into Traveler Street shack.

Police say they found “hundreds of used needles” and two men carrying a crack pipe in an abandoned parking lot attendant building on Traveler Street.

Officers patrolling the area shortly after 1 a.m. on Monday morning found Barrian Garcia-Resto, of 363 Albany St. and Juan Garcia-Resto, of 39 Boylston St. inside the boarded up shack, located within a locked parking lot near Albany Street. According to a report of the incident, both men were known to police and have a history with drugs and prostitution.

One man was carrying a crack pipe at the time of his arrest, police reported.

Inside the small building, police observed “hundreds of used needles,” the report stated.

Both men were charged with breaking and entering a non-residence at night using force. A report indicated that both the lock and door to the building were broken.
