Police Nab Alleged Bike Thief

An alleged bike thief was arrested Tuesday evening after riding to a neighborhood market, police reported.

John Quinn, 25, of Boston, was charged with larceny over $250 after he reportedly nabbed a bicycle from the area of 1525 Washington Street near around 7:30 p.m. Police spoke to a witness at the scene who reported chasing a man matching Quinn’s description down the street after watching him make off with the bike, a report stated. 

After broadcasting a description of the bike and suspect, officers were alerted to a similar duo riding on Paul Sullivan Way. A short time later, they were able to locate Quinn inside across from the Pine Street Inn on Harrison Avenue. The bicycle was located on Paul Sullivan Way with the suspect's assistance.
