Police Release Images of Suspect in Jewelry Store Theft

Police are searching for a heavy-set male who allegedly robbed a South End jewelry store earlier this month.

Images of the suspect were captured by a surveillance camera as he entered on Waltham Street on March 4. After entering, police say he engaged in conversation with an employee, then removed several pieces of diamond and gold jewelry from glass cases once left alone.

In the images, which are posted on MassMostWanted.com, the suspect is wearing a baby blue Red Sox hat and a zip-up sweatshirt.
