Police: Two-year-old Found Alone in Van
Driver admitted to forgetting the child while parking on Trotter Court.

The Department of Children and Families is investigating an incident in which a 2-year-old boy was reportedly left unattended for over an hour in a van parked on Trotter Court.
Police responded to the scene around 11:40 a.m. on Tuesday where the child was found alone in the van. Witnesses stated that the child had been left alone for at least an hour.
The driver of the van, part of the Trans Pro fleet, admitted to parking the vehicle around 10 a.m. and forgetting the child was there because he was “a new addition to her route,” police reported.

The child received medical treatment and was reunited with his parent.
The van was parked directly in front of the area where a young man was last week. Trotter Court also runs parallel to Lenox Street where police in June in an attempt to clean up what was becoming an “open air drug market,” according to Suffolk County DA Daniel Conley.
