Public Art Coming to South End

What's a few things worth knowing in the South End on Wednesday, August 7th, 2013?

New Public Art Comes to South End

Starting on August 30th and running until October, you'll notice a new art installation at the Boston Center for the Arts Plaza. It's a public arts project that will allow you to tap your Charlie Card to hear some oral history of the area by day, and a lights show at night.  Read here for more information

Small Fire Strikes Brownstone

If you saw smoke rising above the South End yesterday, it was due to a small fire on a roof of a five-story brownstone on Greenwich Park on Tuesday morning. One firefighter was injured. See here for more information

Free Concert at Hatch Shell

The Boston Landmarks Orchestra will be continuing its performance series tonight with a free concert at the Hatch Shell on the Esplanade. The performance will feature excerpts from popular operas, including The Magic Flute and Rigoletto. The concert starts at 7 p.m. See here for more information
