South End Businesses Offering Deals for Holiday Night Out

For the third straight year, the sisters of M. Flynn Accessories are organizing a holiday shopping extravaganza with discounts at 30 locally owned retail stores in the South End.

On December 14, from 4-8pm, retailers will be offering 15-20 percent off merchandise and restaurants will offer special menus including a few prix fixe deals. Free parking is available at 540 Harrison Ave.

"It's a great night to grab friends, get some good deals at locally owned shops and then eat at a cool restaurant afterwards," said Meghan Flynn. "This night is our area's way of saying 'Thank you' to those who shop with us all year long and also a way for us to encourage shoppers to stay out of the mall that night."

Flynn and her sister, Moira, started Holiday Night Out after moving into their Waltham Street studio four years ago. What started as a small event for shops along the block has since grown to encompass businesses all across the neighborhood. This year, Washington Gateway Main Street, GTI Properties, and the South End Business Alliance are co-sponsoring the event.
