South End Recognized for its Outstanding Pizza Shops

Attention pizza lovers! Two of the top 21 pizza restaurants in Eastern Massachusetts are located in Somerville, according to Boston magazine.

In the latest issue of the magazine, readers are offered a delicious guide for navigating the rapidly expanding pizza scene.

The article, which is titled ”The 21 Best Places to Eat Pizza Right Now,” covers everything from locations to get authentic Neapolitan-style pies, to the best pizzas served in local South Shore bars.

So how did Boston magazine go about compiling the mouth-watering list? For six weeks, the magazine’s team traveled around, indulging in an endless amount of pizza at an array of area eateries.

Here are the South End restaurants which cracked the list:

Coppa — 253 Shawmut Ave.

Picco — 513 Tremont St.
