Mass Ave. Murder Victim Identified

Andrew Wyman, 29, was stabbed to death Sunday morning outside Boston Medical Center.

Police have released the identity of the man stabbed to death on Sunday morning as Andrew Wyman, 29, of Boston.

Wyman died after suffering life-threatening injuries Sunday morning during a stabbing on Massachusetts Avenue near Albany Street, police reported. He was transported to Boston Medical Center where he was rushed into surgery, and later pronounced dead.

A funeral for Wyman will be held on Friday, according to an obituary posted by Gormley Funeral Services. The obituary identifies Wyman as a resident of West Roxbury and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Police were unable to locate any suspects in the incident, although a call was put out for a white Plymouth sedan seen leaving the scene, a police spokesman said.

Massachusetts Avenue was closed off to traffic between Albany Street and Melnea Cass Boulevard while police conducted their investigation.
