Candidates NightFive candidates vying for the office of Mayor of Boston will appear at a candidates forum that will be held on Monday July 29 from 6-8 p.m. at the Piano Factory (791 Tremont St.) The importance of the arts in the City of Boston and matters of concern to visual artists and others who participate in the art economy will be addressed. SEIU Local 888 Political Committee member David Reno will moderate the forum. Felix Arroyo, John Connolly, Charlotte Golar Richie, Michael Ross and Bill Walczak are scheduled to appear. Picnic in Hayes ParkThe Friends of Hayes Park invite you to a summer picnic in the Park – a great time to enjoy to enjoy the park and meet and mingle with friends and neighbors. They will provide hot dogs and hamburgers - please feel free to bring a dish or beverage to share. Musical entertainment for the kids will be provided by Wayne Potash and his Music Fun Band. Sounds of the Garden Free Concert Series
The final concert of the Sounds of the Garden Wednesday series will get you singing along to old and new American folk and blues tunes with Lloyd Thayer on the resonator guitar and harmonica. Bring along a chair or blanket and invite friends to warm night of feel-good music at the Mission Hill Community Garden!
