Don Otto's Market Closes: After less than a year of business, the owners of Don Otto's Natural & Organic Market have shuttered the small basement shop for good, citing high costs and a disappointingly low number of loyal customers.
Public Charter School Sets Sites on Vacant South End Church: Officials from the MATCH Charter Public School recently announced that the school has signed a purchase and sale agreement for the 45,781-square-foot Immaculate Conception Church on Harrison Ave., with plans to convert the existing structure into a middle school for Boston students.

Pine Street Inn Works to House Homeless Veterans: The Inn is renovating a Dorchester house to use as transitional housing for homeless veterans. Donations are needed to run the home after its completion. In other Veterans Day news, check out Patch's .
Japanese Tapas Restaurant to Replace Joe V's on Union Park: Joe V's Restaurant, a Union Park favorite, will be shuttering its South End doors soon and shipping off to Brookline. On Tuesday, the Union Park Neighborhood Association revealed that the restaurant license for the 315 Shawmut Avenue spot has been sold to Snappy Sushi owner, Kazu Aotani.
