New Labs Open: Three brand-new Electrical Technology labs and classrooms were officially opened Tuesday morning at the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology, ensuring student access to cutting-edge technology, school officials said.

Student Housing Groundbreaking: A nine-story student residence hall will replace a now empty building on Albany Street and provide affordable housing for over 200 graduate students attending Boston University Medical School, officials announced. Mayor Thomas Menino celebrated the groundbreaking of the $40 million project on Thursday.
