It was a busy summer week in the South End. Teranga Chef Marie-Claude Mendy became the South End's newest television champion, DTails opened its doors on Columbus Avenue and the BCA announced a new public art exhibit coming to the Plaza this summer. Public Art Exhibits Coming to the BCA Plaza: A temporary public art installation coming next month to the Plaza is anything but traditional. An arched wooden structure covered with painted Plexiglas panels creates a large-scale painting that visitors can walk through, watching as the artwork transforms based on their location within the tunnel-like sculpture.

New Fence Donated to Union United Methodist Church: The decorative wrought iron fence surrounding the eastern half of the Union United Methodist Church will be extended around the entire building thanks to the generosity of an interested resident.
