Two Arrested in Slaying of South End Teen

Police have charged two teenagers with gunning down 18-year-old Alex (Blanco) Sierra in the South End Saturday night.

Ricardo Arias, 17, of Roslindale was arrested today and charged with murder and unlawful possession of a firearm. He pleaded not guilty during an arraigned today in Boston Municipal Court and was ordered held without bail.

Police have also elevated charges against a 16-year-old boy caught running from a gold minivan shortly after the Saturday night shooting. Officers are now charging the suspect with being an accessory in Sierra's murder, in addition to unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Officers recovered the weapon while chasing the suspects on Annunciation Rd. near Ruggles.

The second suspect was arraigned today in juvenile court and ordered held on $250,000 cash bail. His name is being withheld due to his age.
