Walgreens Employee Assaulted by Disgruntled Customer, Police Report
Employee, who is five months pregnant, was reportedly punched and kicked in the stomach.

A pregnant employee was attacked by a customer after the two began arguing about the return policy at the Washington Street store, police reported.
The incident, which occurred around 8 p.m. Tuesday night, began as a verbal dispute over an item the customer wished to return. According to a police report, the customer became “verbally aggressive,” swearing repeatedly at the employee and using other disrespectful language.
The suspect then walked behind the counter and began punching the employee, police said. The employee, who is five months pregnant, also reported being kicked in the stomach, the report stated.

Store associates were able to break up the fight, and the suspect fled the area, police said. The employee was transported by ambulance to Boston Medical Center with several scratches on her face, neck and arms.
No arrests were made.
