UPDATE: 11:50 a.m. - It has been confirmed by the Waltham Schools Superintendent's Office at 11:50 a.m. that Waltham Public Schools are in lockdown/shelter in place. This is regarding a police search for an armed and dangerous suspect in the area who has been on the run since the early hours of Monday morning.

Police are asking Waltham residents to be aware of Darren Dyette, who is wanted for an assault and battery on Fourth Avenue. He is considered armed and dangerous.
