Waltham Responds: 'Bikes Not Bombs' Event Happening Saturday at Bentley University

Bikes are being collected by students at the Waltham university Saturday, April 20.

The world learned this week that an eight-year-old victim in the Boston Marathon bombings April 15 had drawn a simple message on a blue piece of construction paper. "No more hurting people... Peace," wrote Martin Richard.

With the capture of second Boston Marathon bombing suspectΒ Dzhokhar Tsarnaev occurring in Watertown Friday night following a nearly 24-hour long manhunt, members of Bentley University's student body turned out Saturday morning to work toward Richard's desire for peace.Β

Students are hosting a "Bikes Not Bombs" event at the Bentley campus, today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Those wishing to donate a bike to the cause can do so at Bentley University GreenSpace, entering campus from the Beaver Street entrance (near 375 Beaver St. in Waltham).
