Bonchon In Waltham Officially Opens
It's been long in coming, but Monday the ribbon was cut.
WALTHAM, MA β It's open. It's really open: The Asian-fusion restaurant Bonchon had its grand opening Monday after more than two years of planning, fits and starts. The Korean and Asian fusion restaurant is best known for its fried chicken, but has vegetarian dishes, too. And a liquor license.
It's been so long in coming that when the sign went up announcing the soft launch on April 1, some worried it was an April Fools joke. But it wasn't. For four hours on April 4, folks got a chance to sample the food.
Now it's open for real.

On Monday, Mayor McCarthy and Ward 8 Councilor, Cathyann Harris, officially welcomed the restaurant to the Waltham Community with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Menu items range from a lunch special of signature fried 8 piece wings or 4 pieces of drums with a side for $9.95 to vegetarian Bibimpbap for $11.95 or Udon Noodle soup for $8.95. They also have regular ($4.50) or zucchini fries ($5.95) on the menu as sides.
