Review Of Inaugural 'Books and Brews'

A look at Imagine Main Street's event. Although it's not in the Watch City, it's only about an hour and a half from Waltham.

Imagine this: you walk up a warmly lit porch on a chilly New England evening. Opening the door, you step into a soiree of kindred spirit. They invite you to partake of their stories: adventure, romance; life and love.

Welcome to Books and Brews, hosted by Imagine Main Street in Manchester, Connecticut! The non-profit community organization is committed to "creating a well-known arts 'Mecca,' including performance, galleries, pop-up stores, public art and sculpture and beautification projects."

The first-ever Books and Brews was held at the Army and Navy Club in Manchester on Jan. 10, 2019. This inaugural fiesta melded art and literature with a tactile sense of community.

The next event will be celebrated at Imagine Inside Market Saturday, Feb. 2 at WORK_SPACE from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Elsa Kurt, a multi-genre author, entwines romance, friendship, encouragement, and empowerment in all of her books. Her natural warmth and empathy gives her books power.

This 11 year old wrote her memoir! "Tresor's Miracle" by Tresor Samantha Williams.
