Brothers Marketplace In Waltham To Close
Next month the specialty grocery store is set to close for good, amid the pandemic.
WALTHAM, MA — The city grocery store that opened with much fanfare in 2018, is now set to close just three years later.
Brothers Marketplace is set to close its Waltham spot next month.
The neighborhood market billed itself as a one-stop grocery, dining experience with curated fresh foods, local and specialty products, prepared meals and grocery essentials.

Situated across from the Cafe on the Common and the Waltham Common, the grocery was the specialty anchor business at The Merc at Moody & Main, a 269-unit mixed-use transit-oriented development.
Roche Bros. Supermarkets was founded by brothers Pat and Bud Roche in 1952. Brothers Marketplace, a sibling to the bigger supermarket, was the brainchild of Pat's sons and current owners Rick and Ed Roche.

The supermarket has locations in Cambridge, Duxbury, Medfield, and Weston, according to its website. It's also opening a location in Arsenal Yards in Watertown on April 9.
