Patch: If you had to sum up your business mission to a stranger in five words, what would those words be?

Hanley & Castrucci: Restoring families and saving lives.

Patch: What's the biggest challenge or most difficult moment you've faced in your job?

Hanley & Castrucci: Our biggest challenge has always been seeing the pain and helplessness that a family experiences while watching their loved one struggle with addiction. What many people don’t realize, and might not understand, is that addiction is a family disease rather than an individual illness. It’s often the family that suffers most when a loved one struggles. Our goal is to treat both the individual and their families β€” so that the whole family gets well.

Patch: What's the most satisfying part of your job?

Hanley & Castrucci: The most satisfying part of our job is when we treat a person who is at their lowest point β€” and whose life is in disarray β€” then are able to help that same person transform and recover themselves, their dignity and their families. When that family comes back and says, β€œthank you for giving us our son or daughter back” β€” that makes it all worthwhile.

Patch: How would you say your business distinguishes itself from the others?

Hanley & Castrucci: What’s unique about Clearhaven Recovery Center is that when someone comes to us for help, they get an entire, dedicated, treatment team. We have a full medical staff, Master’s level clinicians, and a Case Management team with firsthand experience in recovery. Our program infuses clinical treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy with a traditional 12 Step curriculum. Additionally, each client receives daily, one-on-one attention from their clinician.

Patch: What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given when it comes to success?

Hanley & Castrucci: The best advice in regards to success that we have received is β€œdo what you love and do it well…. then success will follow” β€” that’s what we try to live by.

Patch: Are there any new projects or endeavors you're working on that you're extra excited about?

Hanley & Castrucci: Clearhaven Recovery Center is new to the area but one thing that we are really excited about β€” for the future β€” is our family meeting. We have always believed in working with and treating the families of individuals in our care and helping them navigate this difficult process. We are planning to launch a family support and education meeting β€” in the near future β€” at our Waltham location. We are conveniently located right off of Bear Hill road at 20 Fox Road.

Patch: Do you have any events coming up in your community?

Hanley & Castrucci: We are really hoping to offer an open house for the public at our Waltham location. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic we have been unable to do so. Hopefully in the future we can make this happen.

Patch: How can Patch readers learn more about your work and business?

Hanley & Castrucci: Clearhaven Recovery Center offers a 24/7 direct admissions line and Family Focused Intervention services. If you or a loved one is struggling and needs help β€” call us at (781) 886-8004 or visit our website www.clearhavenrecovery.com for more information.
