Local publisher Indie Woods is bringing poetry to Waltham in honour of National Poetry Month. All-age poetry slams will be hosted the next three Saturdays at the Waltham Public Library. This series is open to everyone. Attendees may bring their own poetry to share, step in to hear local poets, or help clap out beats with interactive child-safe tools. Free samples of fresh words will be awarded to all.

The first Indie Woods Poetry Slam will be this Saturday, April 14, from 12-1 in Study Room 3 at the Waltham Public Library. Word blocks to build physical poetry will be featured. Bring your favourite poetry, create your own, or experience words in a new, concrete way.

Indie Woods Poetry Slam returns on Saturday, April 21 from 11:30-1 in Study Room 4 at the Waltham Public Library. We will use magnets and colours to mix our own poetry blends. Come by for an immersive poetry break, or stay for the entire session. Like poetry, it's all up to you!
