Happy Mother's Day From Charlotte

"The moment you held me I knew I was never going to be without your love and caring ways."

(Carol Patten)

In celebration of Mother's Day on Sunday, May 12, we asked Patch readers to write a letter to their mother and let us deliver it. This is Charlotte's letter to her mom:

I want to say a happy first Mother's Day to Mom. My mom has been so kind, caring and loving to me since the day I was born five months ago!

I know how special I am to you because you never got upset when you went to the hospital, and I was being stubborn and they sent you home. I wanted to see you on December 6, 2018, which is the day I was supposed to see you, and I kept that promise! The moment you held me I knew I was never going to be without your love and caring ways.

I thank you for all you have given me these past five months, and I know you will always be there for me. I can’t wait to see what the future brings me as your daughter. I love you to the moon and back (you have been saying this to me since I was born), and I always will. So Mom...I am taking you, Nana and Nona to lunch! How lucky are we to celebrate Mother's Day with four generations?

Love,
Charlotte
