Independent Bookstore Day is Saturday April 28!

Celebrate your community at your local indie hotspot! Celeste Ng, 2018 Independent Bookstore Day Ambassador, has literal surprises scheduled throughout the day. Each store offers its own atmosphere, style, and unique flavour. The metro Boston bookstores have teamed up to offer exclusive merchandise and united passion and fun.

Local independent publisher Indie Woods is hosting a Hands On Poetry event for children of all ages and abilities at the Waltham Public Library from 11:30AM-1PM. Building with word blocks, expressing dialogue with magnetic colours, and using percussion instruments to discover rhythm and tones in poetry will be encouraged in this low-key, stay-as-long-as-you-like, free event.
