Local Experiences for Festive Friday
Local events create the gifts of shared time and experiences.

Our weeklong series aboutshopping small local businesses became a festive journey through our industrious city. Small Business Saturday introduced us to new friends, and gave us a fresh look at some familiar faces. The Tea Leaf displays local art for sale in the cozy tea room, delighting me and other shoppers.
Sunday continued the theme of shopping small, with an emphasis on local services. Our city has a population of hard working, reliable, and talented tradespeople. My hair looks pretty dang sweet thanks to Blondie Salons!

Cyber Monday was viewed with a local lens. Many of our small businesses exist solely or mostly online. I know "one" local author who relies on Amazon sales of her paperbacks, and is even offering a free ebook with each purchase. (Thanks for taking a quick look here!)
Giving Tuesday highlighted local businesses dedicated to enriching our community. More Than Words provides life-changing tools and experiences for young people, and offers warm holiday shopping experiences.

Wednesday we took a break from "Prince Spaghetti Day," to taste test local eateries. Feng Shui's menu has me looking forward to New Year's Eve!
Thursday, a week after the great Thanksgiving gorge, we enlightened ourselves with local art. Today, I would like to wrap up our local holiday shopping excursion with an invitation to join in on events which will make your season feel celebratory, and gift-worthy. Reagle Theatre is re-creating its annual "ChristmasTime" production. You can even save a few bucks by purchasing tickets online! Interested in more theatre without the holiday theme? Check out the Hovey Players as they bring to life Jane Anderson's "Looking for Normal." The gift of time, and experiences, doesn't have to be expensive. Your loved ones, and your wallet, will cherish the moments you spend making memories.
Thank you for indulging me on our holiday shopping tour together. If you skipped a blog in this series, you can peek here to see what you missed. I'll see you around our town. Happy holidays!
